Terms of Use

Last updated: October 11, 2026

These terms cover your use of How Many of Mee (howmanyofmee.com), a site run by Daniel Hart in New York, United States. By using the site, you agree to them.

What the site offers

How Many of Mee shows statistics about first names in the United States: estimates of how many people with each name are alive today, and how the name’s popularity has changed. The figures are estimates built from public Social Security and Census Bureau data, as the methodology page explains. They describe names, not individual people, and they can be wrong, especially for rare names.

Information only

The site is for general information and curiosity. Don’t rely on it for legal, financial, genealogical or official decisions. It is provided “as is”, without any warranty that the figures are complete, accurate or up to date.

Using the site

You’re welcome to search, read and share links to any page. Please don’t copy the site’s data in bulk, scrape it with automated tools, or try to disrupt or overload the site.

Content and credits

The site’s design, text and the way the figures are combined belong to How Many of Mee. The underlying birth and population figures come from the Social Security Administration and the Census Bureau, and name meanings come from Behind the Name, which keeps its rights to that text. How Many of Mee isn’t affiliated with any of them.

Links and ads

The site links to other websites and shows ads from Google. Those sites and ads are run by others, who are responsible for them.

Liability

To the extent the law allows, How Many of Mee and Daniel Hart aren’t liable for any loss or damage that comes from using the site or relying on its figures.

Changes and law

These terms may change; the date at the top shows the latest version. They are governed by the laws of the State of New York, United States.
