How Many of Mee (howmanyofmee.com) is run by Daniel Hart, an individual based in New York, United States. This policy explains what information the site handles when you use it. Questions go to contact@howmanyofmee.com.
The name search
There are no accounts, and you don’t need to give your name, email or any other details to use the site. When you type a name in the search box, it is sent to the site’s server to look up suggestions and the name’s page. The site doesn’t save the names you search to any database or list, and doesn’t link them to you.
Server logs
The site is hosted by Hostinger. Like most web servers, Hostinger’s servers and network keep standard access logs: your IP address, your browser and device type, the date and time, and the address of each page you load. Because a name page’s address contains the name (for example, /name/emma/), those logs can show which name pages were opened. The logs are used to run and secure the site, and Hostinger keeps them under its own policies.
Advertising
The site shows ads from Google AdSense to pay for itself. Google and its partners use cookies and similar technologies to show ads, to measure them and, where you allow it, to personalize them based on your visits to this and other sites.
- Visitors in the European Economic Area, the UK and Switzerland see Google’s consent message and can choose whether ads are personalized.
- You can manage personalized ads in Google’s ad settings.
- Google explains how it uses information from sites that show its ads in How Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services.
Analytics
The site uses Google Analytics to count visits and see which pages are used, through cookies set by Google. The reports show totals, such as how many people opened a page, not who they are. You can block Google Analytics with Google’s opt-out browser add-on or by blocking cookies in your browser.
Other services the pages load
Google Fonts: some text styles load from Google’s servers, which receive your IP address and browser details.
Cookies
How Many of Mee itself doesn’t set cookies for tracking. The cookies on the site come from Google AdSense and Google Analytics, described above. You can delete or block cookies in your browser’s settings; the site works without them.
Children
The site is for a general audience and isn’t directed at children under 13. It doesn’t knowingly collect personal information from children.
Your choices
Because the site has no accounts and doesn’t store searches, it holds no profile about you. If you have a question about your information, or want to ask about something this policy covers, email contact@howmanyofmee.com.
Changes
If the way the site handles information changes, this page will be updated and the date at the top will change.
